Revised 601.15

The revisions to this University Policy are intended to better control the volume of items the University is currently tracking through inventory. Specifically, the revisions increase the University’s fixed assets tracking and inventory threshold to $5,000. Previously the threshold was $5,000 for all equipment with the exception of laptops and data projectors, which had a $1,500 limit. In addition, under guidance provided by the State Controller, the University is required to track and inventory only property, plant, and equipment items costing $5,000 and above, but the University is free to set a lower threshold. Due to resource constraints, the University is opting to move the threshold for all property, plant, and equipment items to $5,000.
